Bruce McKellar

Bruce McKellar is a native of Arizona. He worked as a gold- and silversmith before taking up sculpting in wood, which has become his primary medium.

Bruce works with local woods such as mesquite, pine, juniper and arizona ash. He adapts his vision to the natural shapes of the wood, making each sculpture a unique piece. He commonly works with southwestern themes, such as his signature piece, the "slumped-over cowboy boot," and also creates furniture and sculpts marble, alabaster and metal.
