Peggy Ann Jones A native of the southwest, Peggy Ann Jones was born in Manhattan Beach, California. She began painting at the age of five, and worked as a graphic artist for newspapers and advertising agencies before starting her own graphic design business.
Peggy Ann studied oil painting with Ann Templeton and Scott Christensen. Her style combines the natural beauty of the southwest, with its open spaces and glorious sunsets, and the contributions of her own imagination. The resulting idealized landscapes reflect her belief in the importance of tranquility, something often sadly lacking in modern life. “There are so few of the truly quiet places left in our world,” Peggy Ann writes; “I would wish to provide a window to these places, a moment to contemplate Nature in her quiet moods, even when surrounded by the chaos of life.” |
